The 30 Gauge 0.5″ / 13mm flexible needle is ideal for applying fluids in easy to reach areas or surfaces that are liable to scratch easily. The flexible nature of the needle material does make it harder to control the tip so the steel cannula or PTFE lined version (where available) of this needle may be more appropriate for applications where rigidity is preferable.
Of course, PTFE also benefits from being compatible with some fluids that would otherwise clog or react with stainless steel.
